Kayaking trips and white water rafting trips can be booked through any number of white water rafting companies. Most white water rafting companies, also known as white water runners, offer training at different levels to provide a most enjoyable river water experience. Children must weigh at least 60 lbs to join a river sports tour group. This is because 60lbs is the minimum safe body weight for the life jackets available.

 

River Sport Companies & River Runners

 Many river sport companies along the rivers rent rafts for a competitive price. Canoe rentals are usually available from the same water sport companies that offer kayak rentals. Most water sport companies along the rivers of Western North Carolina of white water rafting, canoe and kayak clinics. Rates for rafting tours, kayak trips or water tubing excursions vary. Most white water runner companies offering water sport tours and trips charge from $25 to $50. Rates are cheaper for weekdays and groups in most cases.
